Good To Know

Frequently asked questions

How do I register — and what does it cover?
Just two easy steps. First, register for the conference — $1,125 early-bird through Feb 27, 2027 ($1,195 after). That covers all 15 hours of RACE-approved CE, complete seminar notes, and your attendance submitted to AAVSB RACEtrack. Second, book your cabin with Jen at Bean Cruises — the cruise fare is separate (see cabin pricing above).
Do I have to sail to attend the conference?
Yes — the sessions happen aboard the Royal Princess while the ship is at sea. There’s no land-based option for this one — the ship is the conference center, and the glaciers are the view from class. We think you’ll be glad you came aboard.
When do I actually earn my CE?
All 15 hours are taught while the ship is at sea — every hour in port is yours. See the day-by-day schedule above; session times are finalized with the speaker announcement.
Can I bring my spouse, family, or friends?
Absolutely — most people do. The cruise is a full Alaska vacation for everyone in your cabin (3rd/4th-guest fares are listed in cabin pricing). While you’re in sessions at sea they have the whole ship; every port day and evening you’re together.
Do I need a passport?
We strongly recommend one. The cruise is round trip from Seattle with a stop in Victoria, Canada. U.S. citizens on this closed-loop sailing may qualify to travel with a birth certificate plus government-issued photo ID, but a passport makes boarding and any travel hiccup far easier. Not sure what applies to you? Jen helps travelers sort this out every day — just ask.
Who’s teaching?
Two board-certified specialists, announced soon. Every VetBolus faculty features recognized specialists — the Alaska lineup is being finalized now, and registered attendees hear first.
What if I need to cancel?
Our cancellation policy is at vetbolus.com/cancellation-policy. Cruise-fare cancellation follows Princess’s terms through Bean Cruises. Questions? Email info@vetbolus.com — a human answers.
