Most “destination CE” is marketed to veterinarians, with techs as an afterthought. We think that’s backwards — the best rooms we’ve ever run had DVMs and techs learning side by side, and one of our flagship events is taught by the leaders of the tech community.
Every VetBolus conference welcomes veterinary technicians. The conference where techs run the show
The Veterinary Anesthesia Nerds Symposium (Ottawa, June 14–17, 2027) is built with the VAN community — Tasha McNerney (BS, CVT, VTS-Anesthesia), Stephen Niño Cital (RVT, SRA, VTS-LAM), and Darci Palmer (BS, LVT, VTS-Anesthesia & Analgesia) alongside boarded anesthesiologists. Up to 20.5 hours of anesthesia CE including hands-on ventilation and local-blocks labs. If you’re a VTS, working toward one, or just want to stop white-knuckling your anesthesia days, this is your room.
Everywhere else techs are equally at home
Exotics and neurology in Grenada (Nov 5–7, 2026). ECC and internal medicine in Hawaii (April 2027). Dermatology and ECC on an Alaska cruise (August 2027). Half-day sessions, small rooms, real access to the specialists — and afternoons free in places you’d save up to visit anyway.
Bring your team
Some of our favorite registrations are a DVM and their tech booking together — same lectures, same island, and a clinic that comes home speaking the same language about anesthesia protocols or that exotics workup.
