Getting to the conference
Complimentary shuttles run between the partner hotels and Belford Hall at St. George’s University each conference morning, and back again at 1:30.
Taxis are easy to find and reasonable. There is no on-campus parking — the nearest is Container Park.
Maurice Bishop International (GND) is about 15 minutes from Grand Anse, so you are at your hotel almost as soon as you land.

Good to know
Money: the Eastern Caribbean dollar (EC$) is pegged at roughly EC$2.70 to US$1. US dollars are accepted almost everywhere — you will usually get change in EC.
Driving: on the left. Taxis are plentiful and fares are set by route, so agree the price before you get in.
Passports: bring one valid for your stay. Most visitors do not need a visa for a short trip — check what applies to your nationality.
Carriacou and Petite Martinique are still rebuilding after Hurricane Beryl. If you were planning a day trip to the sister islands, check what is running before you book.
Getting there
Everything lands at Maurice Bishop International (GND).
From the US: non-stops from Miami and New York JFK year-round, plus Charlotte, which American added for the winter season — it starts in November, which is convenient. Seasonal service also runs from Atlanta.
From Canada: seasonal non-stops from Toronto; otherwise connect through Miami or New York.
Around the Caribbean:Caribbean Airlines, interCaribbean Airways and LIAT20 connect Grenada with Barbados, Trinidad, St. Vincent, St. Lucia and Antigua — useful if you are adding an island either side.
Barbados and Trinidad are the two easiest connecting hubs; Barbados has the most frequent service.

BB’s CrabbackNow at Otway House on the Carenage after a move — the crabback it is named for, and a goat curry worth the trip.
Patrick’s Local Homestyle CookingPort Louis Marina. Small plates of proper Grenadian food — callaloo soup, cod cakes, ginger pork. Go hungry.
Dexter’sNorth Grand Anse. Five courses, prix fixe, lobster and snapper. This is the nice dinner.
Coconut BeachNorth Grand Anse. French-Creole on the sand, and the coconut pie people write reviews about.
Belmont EstateA seventeenth-century cocoa plantation up north: tree-to-bar chocolate tour and a very good lunch. Open Sunday to Friday, closed Saturdays.
House of ChocolateA small museum and shop in St. George’s if you cannot make it up to Belmont.
River AntoineEstablished 1785 and still driven by a water wheel — the oldest working rum distillery in the Caribbean.
Clarke’s CourtThe big modern distillery, an easy tour from the south coast.
Renegade RumThe new one — terroir-driven, single-estate cane juice rum. Book ahead.

Do veterinary technicians earn CE here too?
Yes — and we mean it, not as an afterthought. The program is RACE-approved for veterinarians and veterinary technicians, techs sit the same sessions and earn the same 15 hours, and attendance goes to AAVSB RACEtrack for both. Is a conference like this tax-deductible?
For most veterinarians and technicians, continuing education and the travel to reach it is a legitimate professional expense — which is a large part of why destination CE works. Is the CE approved in my state?
The program is RACE-approved, which the great majority of state boards accept, and New York attendees are covered by our NYSED submission. Not sure what your board needs? Start with CE requirements by state, or email us and we will get you exactly what you need to file.
Can I bring my family?
Yes, and most people do — that is half the reason we hold it here. Partners and kids are welcome at the opening reception, and the island tour add-on can be booked for guests. The lecture room itself is for registered attendees.

Most attendees stay at one of the partner hotels — Radisson Grenada Beach Resort, Mount Cinnamon, True Blue Bay or Coyaba — all of which are on the conference shuttle route. Rates and booking codes are in the Hotels & Travel section above.
How do I get to Grenada?
Fly into Maurice Bishop International (GND). There are non-stop services from New York (JFK), Miami, Atlanta and Charlotte, plus regional connections through Barbados, Trinidad, St. Lucia and Antigua. The full airline list is in Hotels & Travel.
What does a conference day actually look like?
Buses leave the partner hotels at 7:30 am, check-in and coffee run 7:30 to 8:00, lectures start at 8:00 with a mid-morning break, lunch is provided at 12:50, and the return buses leave at 1:30 pm. After that the day is yours. Three days, same shape.
Do I need a passport?
Yes — Grenada is an international destination, so bring a passport valid for the length of your stay. Most visitors do not need a visa for a short stay, but check what applies to your nationality before you book.
How do I justify this to my practice manager?
Straight numbers usually do it: $1,125 buys 15 RACE-approved hours — a full year of CE for most licences — with materials, RACEtrack filing and lunches included, and the practice loses you for three mornings rather than a full week. Registration is open to veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Belford Hall seats 200 and we close registration when the room is full — November is closer than it looks.
